Terrelle Pryor (born 1990 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania) is an American football and former basketball player. He is a senior at Jeannette Senior High School. Pryor is considered the most versatile athlete in Pennsylvania high school sports since Tom Clements. He is considered a top 25 basketball prospect by most recruiting analysts, but Pryor is also widely regarded as the nation's top football prospect, as he was named “Junior of the Year” by Rivals.com[4] and is currently ranked the #1 prep player in the nation by Rivals and a variety of other recruiting services. Pryor hoped to be a two sport athlete and play both football and basketball in college, but he chose to focus on football. When asked if he would prefer to play in the NFL or the NBA, Pryor said, “The NBA. You can play longer because you don't get beat up as much.”
Pryor is widely praised for his outstanding athleticism. CSTV recruiting analyst Tom Lemming called Pryor “a unique cross between Jevon Kearse and Vince Young, a real freak.” Critics, however, have questioned Pryor's passing ability. Pryor has signed with Ohio State University to play football, though he will not be playing college basketball.
In 2006, Pryor led the heavily favored Jayhawks to the PIAA state championships, only to lose to the underdog Warriors of Wilson Area High School.
In the 2007 Pennsylvania state semi-finals against Wilmington, Terrelle became the first player in Pennsylvania history to run for 4,000 yards and also throw for 4,000 yards. The following week, Pryor led the Jayhawks to their first-ever PIAA State championship.
Since taking over at Quarterback for the Jeannette Jayhawks in 2005, Terrelle has drawn numerous comparisons to former Texas Longhorn and current Tennessee Titans star quarterback Vince Young.

Following the PIAA basketball state quarterfinal against North Catholic High School, Pryor and other teammates were involved in a physical altercation with the team they had just defeated, 86-60. The schools were placed on probation, but no players were suspended.
Pryor is widely considered the top recruit of the Class of 2008. Throughout his high school career, Pryor acquired numerous scholarship offers that he narrowed down over time. By his senior year, Pryor's top interests were Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, West Virginia, Pitt, LSU, Oregon, and Florida. Sports Illustrated called Pryor's announcement “the most anticipated in history.”
In December 2007, following Rich Rodriguez's departure from West Virginia University to the University of Michigan, Pryor announced an interest in attending Michigan.
Pryor originally intended to announce his decision on February 6, National Signing Day, but later changed his mind, stating he still had not decided between Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State.
Following the Jeanette basketball team's state championship victory on March 15, Pryor stated he will decide within a week what school to attend.
On March 19, 2008 Pryor announced at a press conference that he will attend Ohio State University.

"I look for Pryor to take some snaps under center while with the
Ohio State Buckeyes, but also think the general look and feel of the offense will change - much like it did when Troy Smith was the quarterback."
Noon said he expects Pryor to get plenty of action early. He expects Tressel to emulate what Urban Meyer did with Tim Tebow in his freshman season at Florida.
