Fans Cheer on UVA
It's a bar full of orange and blue, and people who didn't want their bosses to see them on TV. But they came, to cheer on UVA in a game that some thought might be close.
"I'm kind of worried about it in a way, but they'll win. I'm pretty confident," says fan Steve Stevens.
"Just as long as UVA players show up for the game they should do real well," adds Barbara McGehee.
For 37 years Stevens has cheered on the Cavaliers, passing the tradition on to his son. Barbara McGehee's allegiance is torn....she has a daughter at Virginia Tech and a son at UVA.....both teams hitting the hardwood Friday.
"It just makes it more fun to be rivals," says McGehee.
As the scores climbed....so did the the anticipation.
"I won't be upset too badly if UVA loses just so long as Tech pulls it out tonight," adds McGehee.
Stevens says, "I'll be honest with you, I'll be very upset, but there's next year. I'm looking forward to the next couple of years."
But this season isn't over for the Cavaliers. UVA lit up of the court with an 84 - 57 victory over Albany - a game some fans didn't mind missing work for.
