Recruiting: Pryor rules out Pitt; Baldwin drops PSU
Two heavily recruited WPIAL football prospects have narrowed their lists of colleges. Pitt did not make the cut for one and Penn State was eliminated from the other.
Jeannette quarterback Terrelle Pryor, ranked the No. 1 player in the country by a few scouting services, has cut his list to 11 schools. Pitt is not among them. Terrelle Pryor has scholarship offers from colleges nationwide and his final 11 are Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
Aliquippa receiver-defensive end Jonathan Baldwin has trimmed his list to six schools, and Penn State didn't make the cut. Baldwin's finalists are Florida, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Pitt and Southern California. All are recruiting him as a receiver.
A few months ago, Baldwin had said he wasn't sure if he wanted to play football or basketball in college. He had a scholarship offer from Marquette for basketball. But Baldwin has told Marquette he will play only football.
